Italian exports are growing fast. ISTAT data signals an increase in exports by 7,3% YoY.

There are 215.708  Italian firms currently involved in exports. 92 thousands of these companies (43%), focus on one destination only, while 17% exports towards three to six countries. The best part, over 4.600 firms have customers in more than 40 countries.

As you can see from the table below, the marked growth of exports in countries such as China, Russia, Paraguay, Turkey and Argentina is noticeable.

Concerning total volume, exports outside the Eurozone area make up a large bulk, over 196 billion, of the balance of trade .  Breaking down this number by country:  23,5 in the USA, 11,6 in Switzerland, 10 in Turkey, 7,82 in China, 4,6 in Russia, 3,82 in Japan and more than 1,5 in India.

Although the majority of exports are still destined for the European Union, therefore, we cannot ignore exports to other continents: in one year, Asia imports approximately 60 billion and America 52, followed by Africa, with 17 billion, and Oceania, with 5,2 billion.
